Today's question of the Day is a repeat of one we had last year, but I think you probably have a new answer by now.

What is something new or interesting that you have learned recently?

Recently I learned the surprising etymology of the word, "helicopter." I thought it was made up of "heli" and "copter," but it's actually "helico" and "pter." "Helico" means helix or spiral, like the double helix of DNA, and "pter" means wing, like in the dinosaurs, pterodactyl or pteranodon. I thought that was very interesting.

Tell me something cool and interesting that you learned recently.
